February Mission Project

The Children of New World have chosen the Garland Animal Shelter for their February Mission project. We are collecting items that are of critical need right now to enable them to take care of the puppies and kittens that are being brought to the shelter at this time.
Help us take care of our furry friends. They need: Bleach, Pine Sol, Paper Towels, Kitty Litter, and kitten and puppy food (canned if possible). Drop your donations off on the mission tabel in the foyer of New World.

Fast Food Sunday - February 26

We're going to Cici's Pizza after church!!! Come to Worship at 10:30 then bring the family for pizza after the service. Kids eat free! Join us for Fun, Food and Fellowship.

Movie Night

Wonderful night, wonderful turn-out. Almost 65 kids and parents attended our first movie night of the year. Hot dogs, popcorn, lemonade, sodas and candy accompanied the viewing of "Despicable Me". It was so much fun to see the Club 56 kids manning the concession stand to raise money for our upcoming activities. More movie nights are scheduled for later in the year, so planning on joining the festivities.


OK, so we had one little problem....the air conditioner in the Worship Center where we showed the movie was not working on a night when the temperature was still in the 100's when the movie began. Never underestimate the resourcefulness of a retired mailman !!

Camp God Part 3

Our last week of Camp God. A wonderful month of mission work with the children. This week, with our church-wide school supply give away just a couple of weeks away, our time was spent in sorting and counting pencils and glue. Supplies for 500 neighborhood children is quite an undertaking. I've been so impressed with our kids this month--serving together for others. Everyone together, ages 4 through 12, working, singing, helping...great lesson for us all.
